Hi I’m Karen Stewart – and yes I’m known as The Bug Lady!

I’ve got school aged kids, and spent ages trying to find a business I could do in and around school hours. I was a weight loss coach, a dog groomer – you name it, I tried it!

Then one day I had a pest controller come to our house to do a treatment. I started chatting to him about his business and exactly what he did, and slowly an idea began to form in my mind. Most bookings for pest control are made by women. So surely a woman pest controller would be a hit!

And it is! The hours are flexible, and I get to meet lots of people. Now I can’t keep up with all the work coming in, which is why Jon The Bug Fella has come on board. Same great service, better response times for you!

I bring more than 20 years of leadership and operational management experience to the business, along with firsthand experience as a successful small business owner.

With a strong focus on customer service, safety, and reliability,  I’ve managed large asset and service operations within local government organisations, and I understand the importance of clear communication, professionalism and delivering on commitments.

As a local family man, I’m passionate about supporting the community and ensuring every home receives thorough, dependable pest protection. I’m proud to be working alongside Karen to continue and grow the trusted service The Bug Lady is known for.
